Chabriol Colebatch, President – Chabriol provides copyright information and advice to McMaster University and to a consortium of other south western Ontario universities. She has a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sydney and practised as a lawyer for a number of years, working with a diverse range of clients, including those with disabilities. Upon arriving in Hamilton, she volunteered as a 'bowling pal' for people with brain injuries through Brain Injury Services of Hamilton Group Services, before extending her involvement by becoming a member of the Board. |

Stacey Cook, Secretary/Treasurer – Stacey is a graduate of McMaster University in Hamilton with a Honours B. Comm. She then enrolled in the Certified General Accountants program of Canada and has been a Certified General Accountant for six years. She is currently employed at a semiconductor company in Burlington as a Senior Business Analyst. |

Bonnie Buchko, Past President – Bonnie is a registered physiotherapist on the acute neurosurgical ward at the Hamilton Health Sciences General Hospital. For the past eight years Bonnie has worked with brain injury survivors during the early part of their recovery, both in the intensive care unit and on the hospital ward. Bonnie has served on the Board of Brain Injury Services of Hamilton for 4 years. |

Ashok Kumar, Director – Ashok is a retired professor from Mohawk College. He taught physics there for over 33 years. He has done M.Sc. in physics and M.S. in education.He has always been a very active volunteer in the community. He is one of the founding directors of Hindu Samaj of Hamilton and Region. Currently, besides BISH, he is also volunteering with SISO, North Hamilton Community Health Center and India Canada Society of Hamilton. He is also a member of the Trillium Grant Review Team. |

Stephen Blood, Director – Stephen is a registered architect practicing with an architectural and construction management company in Burlington. He also has his own small practice here in Hamilton and lives near the BISH main offices. He graduated with a B.A. from Wesleyan University in Connecticut, then went on to obtain a Masters degree in Architecture from the Technical University of Nova Scotia, now part of Dalhousie University, in Halifax. While much of his current work focuses on hospitality projects: hotels and restaurants, his master’s thesis explored community based, assisted housing, and recent interests include work on a number of barrier-free projects and accessible camps for children with disabilities. |

Denise McMullin, Director – Denise is enrolled in the Certified in Management Program and has diplomas in CADD and Electronics Engineering. She works as the volunteer coordinator for Green Venture and is on the Board of Directors and Development committee for the Welcome Inn. In the past, Denise has worked on various team projects and received extensive teamwork and problem solving training. |

Alfred Ng, Director – graduated from McGill University and has been a registered physiotherapist for over 6 years. He is currently employed at the Hamilton Health Sciences General Hospital and as a Home Care community physiotherapist in the Halton Region. In addition to his recent involvement with BISH, Alfred has community and international experience as a peer mentor for underprivileged youth and in emergency disaster response work. Alfred is currently working towards completion of a Master’s of Health Administration degree at the University of Toronto. |

Kamil Malikov, Director – has diverse international background in community medicine, health policy and business administration. He used to work for UNICEF, World Bank, UNFPA, and international non-for-profit organizations in various professional and managerial roles. Kamil is currently employed at the Population Health Research Institute where he manages large international clinical cardiac surgery trials. |

Nicola Heinig, Director – Nicola Heinig is a professional engineer with a degree in mechanical engineering from McMaster University. Since graduating, she has worked in the automotive industry and is currently employed at Dana Corporation. She obtained a MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University. Nicola is also an active member of the BISH Foundation Board. |

Rebecca Stark-Lammel, Director – Rebecca graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) specializing in Sociology and Family and Social Relations. She also obtained a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from McMaster University. Currently Rebecca is a Registered Social Worker providing counselling services for the Haldimand Family Health Team. In the past Rebecca spent 8 years working in child protection with the Children's Aid Society of Haldimand and Norfolk. She has also worked in residential group homes for persons with developmental delays and acquired brain injuries. |

John Hanna, Director – A lawyer in Niagara for 27 years, John founded The Hanna Injury Law Firm as the first Niagara law firm devoted exclusively to representing victims of trauma. His firm has represented many clients with a wide range of brain injury, from mild post-concussion syndrome to the catastrophically injured dependant on full-time care. John’s pre-law university years introduced him to hands-on work with the mentally challenged. He had summer employment in the infirmary at the Oxford Regional Centre in Woodstock which cared for a large number of developmentally challenged, including a large proportion of epileptic residents. John is also a long standing member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association. |
